Installing on Fairphone 4, problem at step 7

I am using /e/OS installer with my Fairphone 4. (If it matters, I am using Chromium on Ubuntu 24.04.) I get to step 7, where I get an error and the following:

Cannot connect ADB Failed to open USB device: Failed to execute ‘open’ on ‘USBDevice’: Access denied.

I think that OEM unlocking and file transfer were set properly.

What should I be thinking about?
