Integrate with KDE

I use a FP5 with e/os 2.9 and the main usage issue I run into is how to integrate my calendar.

I want to move away from Google calendar. So far I have synchronization via Google between KOrganizer on my Kubuntu Desktop and the Google Calendar app on my phone.

I would like to remove Google as tech-in-the-middle. What are my options?

What speaks against the Murena Cloud? You can synchronize your calendar there “Google-free”.

I myself use the Proton suite (in this case Proton Calendar).

There is also KDE Connect, but it only offers contact synchronization (directly from the Linux PC to the smartphone).

I gave up on Murena because it was unreachable/unusable for months.

anything that talks “caldav”, see

Hi i am working fine with everything on KDE plasma and with korganizer synchronising murana calendars. I managed it in this way:

Open korganizer, add calendar, choose remote. In the windows which opens you have to choose nextcloud and put in your credentials.
After a time the window will show you the calendars you have in murena and you can choose the ones you want to have in korganizer

I use framagenda to sync calendar and contacts through nextcloud’s CalDAV.
I didn’t even have to install any app, I configured my murena account in the setting to reach grandma’s instead. Easy and transparent.
