I have recurring intermittent charging issues with Samsung A72 with /e/OS installed since 3-4 months. The charge works well without problem most of the time and, once a week, i didn’t work anymore, with any cable or charger . I can make a clean reboot, it may work one minute and stop charging. Some hours or days later, I will works as it was nothing.
I really don’t understand. Is anybody already has these problem ?!
I had a similar problem with a Galaxy S9. Tried loads of different things over a number of months and in the end the problem turned out to be an excess of debris had built up in the USB-C port which prevented the cable from mating with the phone in a consistant manner. Sometimes it would charge quickly, sometimes i’d get a ‘charging slowly’ message and sometimes the charging wouldn’t even start or would start and stop after some random time elapsed. A plastic toothpick to loosen the debris and a can of compressed air to blow it out solved it completely for me. It took me a long time to notice the problem due to the deep shadow in the port. Not saying this is your problem but it’s easy to eliminate it as a possible cause, by having a look into the USB-C port with a light and some strong magnification.
