I am happy about e OS. It lets you being more relaxed. Thanks you so much. Since several days the browser (murena qwant and browser) didn t function … now i realize that also emails and messages werent delivered since sunday. This is despite the fact that it is connected to my wlan network and there is no flying mode activated. Does somebody know what the problem could be? Thanks in forward! Cathie
It’s difficult to know the reason from here with only that information. You could add more information, for example:
Checks on the wifi
Do you have another device in the same wifi?
Does the other one work?
Did you change any settings in the router?
Checks on the phone
Did you change any settings on the phone, for example network access for the apps?
Do you have a VPN app running?
Maybe AdvancedPrivacy is blocking some of it, related to fake IP. One of the typical problems people reach out here on the Forum.
But as @fietje stated, it is a broad explanation therefore we only have broad explanations
If the two things are not related …
This has been reported problematic, testing now I see.
Is the browser problem more than this, that is does the browser work ok with direct entry of url
or say clicking links within the forum?
Email Try Swipe from top of screen while in Mail app
Try to check the sync settings
Settings > Accounts > your account. That is top item in Accounts for owner.
Now you find sync as
… and within that is
Is the last synced date “old”?
Sync now is the refresh icon.

Yes, I do have another phone (my old smartphone) working with the same
access point. There I can use the browser and thus get access to my
emails
Yes I changed some settings but I didnt activate VPN consciously… Now
I see that as you said under “advanced privacy” I found the point “IP geschützt”… I
now deactivated it… and the browsers seems to run… Is this already
the solution:)?
I will check if the other apps are also functioning now… but I guess
or hope that this solves the problem permanently.

thanks again, also for this answer. I now realized that the browsers and
some messengerapps have begun to work but the apps “Mail” and
“SMS-messenges” don ´t. I now checked their settings. I have activated
“Pause when the app isn t used”. Could this be the reason explaining
that these 2 apps are still not working?

This may vary by language and Android version, uncertain.

Unused app settings
I don’t have that set ever; I think it is for long term “unused” in which case I would prefer to uninstall.
I think this setting?

It is coming under the App-info, e.g. “Mail” … a better translation
would be “Pause app when not in use”… but you are right it is related
to a longer time period…
And the other appsalso have this activated… but never mind, I thank
you very much and will truy in the next days… perhaps it is only a
hangover:)
