Hi all, I just bought the Fairphone 5 with e/os pre-installed. After coming from Android and iPhones for years it’s a little bit getting used to. So I hope to make this transition a little bit easier by installing another launcher. In the past I used Nova and Niagara.
Is it possible to change the launcher, is it safe and what launcher do you suggest?

Where’s the problem? I would prefer one with no damned trackers, FOSS would also be good.
The Nova launcher has 2 trackers, Niagara, too. And Niagara is also search based which is a matter of taste.
What about Fossify Launcher from F-Droid?
It’s open source, nice UI, simple, and, up to my knowledge, without trackers.

The problem is that im new into /e/os and im a little afraid doing something wrong and thereby still lose my privacy and help any big company with data or money.
That’s why FOSS apps, also launchers.
Try Lawnchair, the latest is called Version 14 Beta 3 (in F-Droid), this is an all rounder, very stable and a good starting point for everyone.
As you will see you can also install multiple launchers side by side. Of course you can use only one. But you can switch from time to time to compare.
