Is this the forum for the Murena Cloud?

Hi guys,
Is this the forum for discussing Murena Cloud work spaces? 3 things.

1: I cannot create new calendars?

AI suggests I might have triggered some security feature of the Next-cloud server underneath Murena?

( I’m the creative and indecisive sort that experimented with new calendar layouts, then deleted, then reimported into new merged calendars - it was chaos! )

Would that have triggered a lock out from creating new calendars? How do I reset?Otherwise everything seems to be running well.

2: Is Murena going to start using the new EU Only Office?

It’s a shame the EU could not pick up all the FOSS work on LibreOffice and create extra compatibility with the Microsoft office stuff that way. Then they’re using all the FOSS power of Libreoffice - with all that development - AND making LibreOffice better and more compatible with the Microsoft cloud the EU are trying to leave. It’s going to take a while, I get it. But hey - maybe Libreoffice is too stuck in their ways and the EU will stir up something new and better this way? I don’t know. That’s the curse and the beauty of Open Source - it can go in many directions.

3: Any way to get a Murena phone here in Australia? I’m a professional driver - what about map apps?

The thing I love about Murena is I’m syncing Murena Caldav and Contacts and Tasks to my old Oppo Android phone via DAVX5 and LOVE how simple it is. I use Tasks.org for Task management on my phone, and a FOSS calendar. (Etar). Easy peasy.

But I’m open to the idea of a Fairphone one day… but apparently it’s not easy from Australia.

Hi @Eclipse welcome to the /e/OS users forum.

I have no hands on experience but the Murena shop page:

can be set for “your country” Australia and at least one result found

The Contact Us page can be used for pre sales enquiries but be sure to define your enquiry as “for a Smartphone”.

I added to your post the hashtags

murenacloud and
murenacloud-issues

where you may find your issues already discussed.

  1. Creation of new calendars does work in the web interface of murena workspace/cloud. You can even share those calendars with non-murena accounts, which is great. Murena cloud is mostly based on Nextcloud standards and benefit from most of its developments.
  2. Murena workspace/cloud uses Only office that is already compatible with Microsoft office current xml formats like .docx and .xlsx. As the legal conflict between Nextcloud, Euro Office and Only office has been solved, there seems to be no need to move to Euro-Office.

Every time I try to create a new calendar it says something like “Operation failed” in little red writing at the top right of my screen.

I tried again and it worked. Maybe you changed a parameter from the standard config.

I looked and cannot see what I changed in the settings to cause this?
