I’m running LineageOS 21 on my OnePlus 5, so I have Android 14. I don’t currently have microG installed, so I have no Google Play store or Google services.
Would the main benefit of flashing /e/ OS be that I would be adding microG and getting better privacy?
Regain your privacy! Adopt /e/OS the deGoogled mobile OS and online services
It’s not an upgrade: you will be going to a lower Android version(LOS 21.0 / Android 14 → LOS 20.0 / Android 13), so it’s a ‘downgrade’
If you want to stay on Android 14, you could try installing LineageOS for microG until /e/ make /e/OS U available
