The university of amsterdam is using a third party service to configure wifi connection.
The settup is completing without throwing errors but something has to be not working.
Could microg be an issue? I got it running on lineageos without microg previously.

(for curiosity: did the playstore link redirect work and you installed via AppLounge, or did you install the ‘SecureW2_JoinNow.apk’ file manually?)
I think you’d need to look at a logcat while using the App (it should just setup required certificates for the wifi). Gleaning at the playstore screenshots of the App, which screen will not continue/show up? The “Save this network?” notification
Edit: if that fails to work, I wonder if you could use geteduroam App instead
