Keyboard correction suggestions hard to read

Since the thread below was closed (weirdly, only 13 days after the last post), I have to open a new thread:

Hard to read keyboard spelling suggestions (wrong colour scheme)

I use a dark theme on my phone and I have noticed for the last couple of months or so, the colour scheme used for the keyboard spelling suggestions pop-up box has changed and now it’s very hard to read: white text on very light grey background. Is there a setting anywhere I can change, to fix this? I’ve just updated to 4.2 (A15) on a Google Pixel 7pro and the problem is still present.

I hear for some people the issue went away when they updated to 4.1. Anybody know why?

Have just updated to A16 (4.2) and this issue seems to have been corrected in A16.

However, in A15 (even in 4.2) it is still present, at the time of writing this post.

I have another phone left on A15 - I’ll check it after every update and report when I can see progress on this issue in A15
