Let us choose between App Sources (GPlay/F-Droid)

Please give us the ability to choose where AppLounge downloads each app.

Sometimes the GPlay and F-Droid Versions of Apps differ.
For Example: OwnTracks, Grayjay

I’d like to be able to decide where AppLounge receives the App from, as I might prefer the FDroid Version (only Grayjay from F-Droid opens YT Links in the App) or the GPlay Version (Only the OwnTracks from GPlay uses GSM) over the other. But AppLounge seems to always prefer F-Droid.

Hello mitu, you can already do this by selecting the sources in the setting of AppLounge.

Let us know if you have trouble finding it !

EDIT : this might be a useful reading

I meant that you should be able to select the source per app.

I dont wamt to generally disable one source, since i have Apps from both sources installed on my phone.

I think there is a misunderstanding here

selecting the source in app lounge only affect what app loung present to you as available apps. This is useful for searching, just like you ask.

once the app installed on your phone, no matter where they come from they are here, that’s all.

Wouldn’t the source switch as soon as the App gets an update?

Indeed, that choice was made by the development team.

If you can do this programmatically you should introduce yourself via Report an issue and propose a PR to e / os / App Lounge · GitLab

Meanwhile the opportunity to install https://f-droid.org/ exists.
