LG will shut down its bootloader unlocking service on December 31 :
It’s a bit strange that they don’t plan to make public the tool to unlock the bootloader, meaning it won’t be possible to give these devices a second youth. I’m not sure this is compatible with their sustainable intents :
“we continue to carry out various social contribution activities centered on the themes of ‘Circular Economy’ and ‘Future Generation: Youth’ aimed at promoting the balanced growth of the international community.”
Also, it seems that the online tool doesn’t work with some second-hand devices whose IMEI was changed.
Would anyone know a workaround ?
