The online service https://ebanking.pbzbank.co.tz/{As a link this contains middleware and if I include my search result it includes trackers} but when searched for, or via https://pbzbank.co.tz/, and opened in the default browser, may work?
It offers the ability through Browser > 3 dot top right menu > Add to Home screen. This can be a secure and privacy friendly way to work.
French BforBank (legacy app) used to work without any tricks.
The new one (blue logo on white screen) does not work after account migration.
They forced accounts migration for all clients.
On the first run, for account migration, all worked fine. After all was done and re-opening app some time later, it just quits.
Tried to re-install with no luck:
first launch, gets as far as to facial confirmation of the account owner (fail when tries to open cam)
subsequent launches, fail completely as at the beginning, doesnāt even give an option to do anything.
I tried the UK bank app for Lloyds on my pixel tablet. It installed and seemed to work OK except for cheque scanning, which was mainly what I needed, as we have no local branches. I have removed it as I mainly use browser based banking on a laptop. But, of you would like me to do more testing with a view to adding it to your list, then let me know.
Austria. Bank99 - meine99 banking app works with and without locked bootloader. Though without locked bootloader no credentials are saved. Okay99 - used for 2FA only works properly with locked bootloader.
Personally I never use any banking apps whether on smartphone or computer. A Which? (UK Consumer publication) pointed out that the highest security score was 85%. I only make contact via telephone. Having an app on your phone is a bad security vector as if it is stolen your details could be hacked.
Iāve been using the Swedbank app and BankID for over a year without issues, swedbank is for banking and bankID is for identifying everywhere in Sweden, but recently the two apps stopped communicating. I can use the swedbank app by logging in with a physical device, and I can use the bankID to identify in other places than swedbank. But whenever I try to use bankID through swedbank it directs my to a page that says that bankID isnāt installed or wrongly configured. Iāve tried reinstalling both apps, and therefore also lost the āidentify in other servicesā, but it hasnāt helped. Anyone encountered something similar? Or has any suggestions on what to try to fix it?
Iām on Fairphone 4, Swedbank app is 7.76.0, bankID is 7.42.0 and both downloaded from App Lounge.
Iāve managed to fix this (Swedbank app and BankID), not sure if it was reinstalling old versions of the apps, fiddling with all settings or something else, but they work again!
So, anyone in Sweden thinking of getting /e/OS but afraid of being locked out due to lack of bankID, no need!
