Yesterday we were chatting in the Spanish-speaking eOS user group about banking apps — which ones work and which ones don’t. That conversation got me thinking: besides having a post with a list of banking apps that work, maybe we should also have a post listing proprietary apps or apps that require Google services, and their current status.
For example, in Argentina we use Uber a lot, but there are also other apps like DiDi, which on my Pixel 5 running the latest version of eOS doesn’t work — it launches and then crashes. It’s the only app where this happens to me, but I assume there could be more like it.
Do you think it’s worth putting together a list of apps that work on eOS? Or is the inclusion of MicroG in eOS supposed to be enough to ensure compatibility with all apps that rely on Google services?
