from /e/OS-2.9 it is possible to opt for local Notes. But it still asks for connexion / synchronization and in the parameters of Notes “background synchronization” is automatically opted. It is in contradiction with “local”.
May be, if connexion is active, we see nothing : for privacy, I would prefer to know what is happening behind … ( I suppressed my Murena account, being unable to use it properly ).

Exactly because of this I’m on Another notes app 1.5.4 (from F-Droid) for years. You get an ordinary local storage, a waste bin and an export function.
@irrlicht : thank you;
Before Notes had the local option, I installed Editor (Bill the Farmer), and I keep it. Local option is new, came with /e/OS 2.9, may be there is a slight issue …

Is this really new? I can’t remember well (because I don’t use it) but I have something in my mind that this local feature has been talked about here two or three years ago.
I had some trouble with eCloud and eDrive (before murena) 3 years ago; I concluded it was experimental and I suppressed my account. At that time Notes had not a local option, so I installed Editor. I just made a try on murena, a month ago.
