Question: Could anyone provide us with an image taken with a Samsung Galaxy S20 camera in DNG format for testing? The motive on it is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is whether Affinity Photo can import and edit the photo.
Background: After using /e/OS for several years and being very satisfied with it, my wife is now also willing to give it a try. She plans to buy a used Samsung Galaxy S20 and install /e/OS on it. Unfortunately, the S21 is not currently on the compatibility list of /e/OS, since we would have preferred this phone.
However, since my wife is an ambitious photographer who shoots in RAW (or DNG) format and edits her photos in the current version of Affinity Photo afterwards, it is necessary that Affinity Photo can process these images. The official, unmodified Samsung S20 is not compatible with Affinity Photo or the libraw library, but maybe it will work with the DNG file format? We would use either the /e/OS camera app or the official version of Open Camera as camera app. Since the official camera app is a fork of Open Camera I don’t think that makes any difference, though.
So, if anyone has a DNG file from a Samsung S20 device that they could make available to us, we would be very grateful.
