Mail app functionality after update

Hey everyone.
Since the most recent e/os update my e/os mail app crashes every time i open it.
I’ve cleared cache/storge and re-logged in, force stopped the app. Not sure how to move forward.
At first, I couldnt open the app without it crashing immediately. After re-logging in to everything I was able to get it to function for a few seconds. Now it loads new emails, but crashes if I touch anything and after 5 seconds.

Not well-versed in looking at any logs.

Any clear-cut advice?

The first one is to be precise about the e/OS version update you made.
Please tell reader what was the version before the update, and the updated version.

Also, precise your device. Here is a link to find your device codename.

Not well-versed in looking at any logs.

You might use the Search facility in Settings to find Telemetry. This is found in Developer options, so if not enabled you may have to do this first

Settings > About Phone > Build Number or Version > Tap rapidly on Build Number about seven - ten times

You will get a message that you are a Developer

Did you already check that you don’t have an unusually large amount of Trash, or some possibly corrupt large email from untrusted source?
