Merlin Bird App not recording

Merlin Bird app isn’t working. Nothing appears to be recorded when “listening for birds” (no audio wave shown) and application closes when I try to play back a recording. Is anyone else having trouble? Is listed as working so could be a problem with 2.8?

Feedback for v1.12.3

Samsung S10 Everythong works so far, but sometimes it seems that Microphone isn’t working. E.G. in BirdNET and Merlin Bird Recognization sometimes no sound is recorded. Another point is the calendar. In the new built i cannot change the calendar in the appointment, e.g. from personal calendar to family calendar. Thanks for the great software, especially GPS is working now much better. Same thing happening to me on Fairphone 5 running e/OS/ 2.8-t. Looking at Google Play reviews, it seems like this isn’t just a device issue but on the E/OS/ side.
