I have just bought a fp5 with e/os
I have upgraded to v3
I installed Merlin bird app, but it’s having a problem with the microphone.
The only way I can get the app to listen is by opening and recording using recorder app.
I did see a topic saying that 3rd party apps would be fixed in a 2024 relrase
But no joy
Any brilliant ideas?

I have had the same issue since I switched my Fairphone 5 to /e/OS about 7 months ago.
I have tried everything including removing the microphone permission and re-adding it (suggested elsewhere), nothing seems to help.
I am still having the same issue.
Even starting the recorder app first no longer guarantees merlin working.
The list of not-quite working apps is getting longer
