Message App crashes when opening a specific thread

I just got a text message from my daughter and now when I open that thread on the message app it freezes and won’t display anything. I tried rebooting and force closing the message app and it doesn’t help. Other threads work fine. Is there a way I can read the contents of that message for a bug report and remove that single message without deleting the whole thread?

My phone is a murena fairphone 4 stock on 2.6.3 which puts my message app on 3.10.1.

Did you ever get your problem resolved? I’m also having an issue with texting and I am using the same version of the Message app as you (3.10.1). I’m exploring whether a glitch with this version of the Message app may be causing the problem.
