I am running 2.9 community on my Pixel 8 Pro and after the last update, the Message app quit sending images or letting me initiate group chats.
I cleared cache/storage and rebooted-that didn’t help.
I already have a backup.
I have tried deleting the messages database, but the specific files mentioned in the post were not on my phone, so I stopped there.
Anyone have any ideas or could point me at someone that could help, please?
It would be very unusual but an update could possibly change your APN settings. Some carriers may expect some Google magic to keep services up to date, especially for MMS where technology still evolves (and some carriers even drop the service). You might check some apn threads to see if this might be your case. Note how the https entry is required correct for MMS.
