Asynchronicity can improve privacy (as to when and from where you fetched the message). I guess just one more tool? (when you’re making calls in messengers, it’s very likely happening on webrtc too)

Thank you -i find it reassuring that they use webrtc and their origins appear to be associated with open source and a free speech groups - Guardian project and Skyrock Group

I wonder what encryption scheme is meant specifically. Guardianproject did some work close to Matrix tech for both the Círculo and Convene apps (that had heavier backends than just webrtc + signaling).

There’s a dev active in a r/Skred subreddit to ask.

Thank you for the links. I see a 2 month old post on the subreddit Skred thread from a Skred dev that they are considering going open source. Let’s see.
