I’m thinking to migrate from Apple System and before to do it I have some concerns about some Apple fonctions.
What about :
- Localisation app that I use a lot with my family.
- FaceTime

I’m also interrested if exist some tiers apps for Localisation and Facetime respecting the privacy for location waiting for Murena fonctions?
Also for replacing photo sharing and editing.
I know I won’t be able to have exactly the sames fonctions but just trying to be more closed as possible.

I doubt Apple would ever allow FaceTime to operate with other apps as such, leaving the web route as the only option for FaceTime on e/OS or other Android flavours.
It isn’t ideal, but Signal is very good and has a similar amount of privacy to FaceTime (encrypted end to end), if you could persuade other members of your family to use it instead, perhaps?

I migrated from iPhone. For Location sharing me and my family use Paralino, works well, even though not perfect. I pay for it, get more features that way. It is available for Android and iOS.
For Photo backups I started using Ente. No complaints so far. I do not use editing much, so can’t say anything about that.

My Family Tracking is done by self hosted Home Assistant. Simply granted Location always to the APP.
