I have an audio subscription to MLB. The app works on my /e/OS phone until I attempt to stream audio, at which point it exits. I assumed this was an app problem but if I access the MLB site I receive the same result. I can login and choose a game. However, as soon as I attempt to listen things fail as with the app.
However, if I connect via an /e/OS hotspot with my computer I can listen through the MLB site. And if I connect via an /e/OS hotspot on a standard Android phone I can listen through the site and app. That’s not a great inconvenience but it seems silly to run two phones, one to broadcast wifi and the other to connect via hotspot because the MLB works on a standard Android phone.
Is there a setting affecting this on my /e/OS phone that doesn’t affect my standard Android phone? I see “No permissions denied” with my /e/OS MLB app. I see 15 trackers associated with MLB in Settings/Advanced Privacy/APP TRACKERS. I’ve tried “Toggle on trackers control” on and off with the same result.
I’m still stumped. It seems there are two areas of concern. Settings/Location and Settings/Advanced Privacy.
In Settings/Location “Use location” is chosen. I am a touch confused about “App location permissions.” I see three options - “Allowed all the time”, “Allowed only while in use”, and “Ask every time.” I see no way to set MLB to “Allowed all the time.”
Setting MLB to “Allowed only while in use” or “Ask every time” produces:
