MMS settings : deleting a non sent MMS don't seem to effectively delete it

Hi,
I just make a little topic to warning a very discreet default.
I just installed eOS on my S9 on, so far, most of the things works fine.
But I could not send MMS. SMS works perfectly but no attached pictures could pass.
Finally that was just the APN that was not totally set, I had to add all MMS settings, not a big deal, you just have to use a web search about your operator and “MMS settings”.

And I discover that all pictures I tried to send, during the period I didn’t succeed to do it, and that I deleted from conversation with friend before setting correctly APN (so they weren’t visible in the conversation anymore), have been sent anyway the moment I set the good parameters in APN options : So I conclude that deleting a non-send MMS, don’t effectively delete it and it can pass anyway.

Or maybe it was only in this specific case, don’t know, just want to warn users about it.

bye !

That’s interesting.A rare, not really seen or covered situation. I guess maybe clearing cache or data or both from “Messaging service” would have prevented the send(? - assuming that handles the transport of SMS/MMS). But I doubt any of us would’ve done so since we would assume the deleted unsent MMS were gone.

Hmm, I’m tempted to break my APN, reproduce, and then test my assumption.
