I’ve just bought a Moto E and started following the install steps, which requires unlocking the bootloader. Problem : according to Motorola, that device is unlockable !!!

The installation page https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/wiki/en/wikis/device/condor/install indicates to follow the steps on https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a in order to unlock the phone.
According to that page you need to register an account at the Motorola website in order to check if the Moto E is unlockable.
It might be, that the website which you linked is outdated.
