It seems to have happened since I updated to /e/ v1, but could be coincidence. I’m on Cricket network. They claim that my phone must support their HD Voice feature, which I think just means voLTE. Anyone else having this issue?

I don’t think this is anything to do with /e/. I don’t think my phone meets the hardware requirements for Cricket’s HD voice calling. Shame Cricket won’t give me specific details of what that is. What a terrible network.
I seem to have a similar problem on my moto g7 plus. Since the update I can neither make nor take normal calls.
WhatsApp calls otoh started working which they didn’t before.
edit: SOLVED by changing ‘preferred type of network’ to ‘NR/LTE/GSM/WCDMA’
