are there known problems with the fingerprint sensor at the Murena GS6 Pro?
I can scan my fingerprint but after that it will not be recognised. I’ve deleted the first one and start over but with the same result. I’ve scanned 2 other finger and added them but no one is recognized. Is this a known issue with e-os or with the hardware or is there a trick I did not know?

That was the issue with the first one received.
The second one received has a similiar problem but a bit worse: I cannot enroll a finger. There is no aptic feedback when I try to setup a new finger…
Hi @Geier @julopower it would be easier for the developers if you can create an issue in gitlab with logs and videos of the issue you are facing. We have been unable to replicate this in our internal testing which would make the logs helpful.

Since I didn’t receive any response from Murena Support, I exercised my 14-day right to return the item.
So I don’t have anything further to add here.

I successfully set up fingerprints in my GS6. I made it some time later, not durig the initial setup process. During that process, I experiences a black screen, trying it (a glitch?).
So far no problems, /e/ OS works in all dimensions as reliable as it did on the old FP3, but much faaaster.
The latest update (this morning) made the function “double tap the screen to wakeup” inoperative. Reboot and toggling this function don’t restore it. Just got used to it…
I can confirm this behaviour. After activation it just worked once.
finger print reco. is random and unpredictable, up to the point of non-functional. I tried multiple erase repeat, multiple different fingers, as well as ccomplete reset.
My impression is that sensor real estate was defined too small and the exclusion algorithm for acceptability too narrow.
I wish there was a facial reco. app for unlocking security functions to download.
murena OS otherwise great, but this is a critical issue for banking and password access. too much typing.

The inconsistently random function of the finger print reader remains a big problem.
I changed screen protectors twice, and tried also without. No success.
I have to access application multiple times daily which require a biometric ID.
I fortunately kept my iphone 14 as backup and use it as 3rd-factor ID.
It is a very big disadvantage and I now consider this a manufacturing flaw of the gigaset phone.
Depending on the reaction from Murena to my complaint - I might have to skip using this OS and go back to iphone.
Sad to say.
