Murena Mobile disaster, please helpfai

Help! I like my fairphone 4 so decided to try Murena mobile. A week ago Monday I tried to port my number to Murena. By Thursday I lost my service on my old carrier and can not get Murena to port in my number. Murena should have it now, as my former carrier confirmed to me on Sunday and Monday that they ported the number out last Thursday.
I am frustrated that I have not gotten service or help from Murena.
I responded to the help thread on Sunday to let Murena know that my former carrier ported the number to Murena, still after all these days Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, and so far today Friday, no response.
I opened a new request for help online Monday to confirm that AT&T confirmed again my service was ported out on Thursday and still, no reply.
I have been a whole week without cell phone service. How do I get anyone to help me? I came on here in desperation for help.
Now, I would like to know how I can reverse the porting process back to my former carrier so I can keep my number and get a refund?
Please help. Totally disappointed because I really like the fairphone 4 and the mission, but I truly need my phone to work in a timely manner and don’t trust Murena Mobile, especially since I can’t ever talk to anyone.

Regain your privacy! Adopt /e/OS the deGoogled mobile OS and online servicesphone

If you’re in the US, you should probably file a complaint with the FTC. Then you should probably just cut your losess, and run as far away from their offereings as you can. Good news is that you can load iode on your FP4 and it works amazingly well, without all this silliness. Murena is a disaster all the way around.

Porting you phone number has nothing to do with the phones OS whatsoever.

But the company behind the service he ported to, is the same folks associated with it, and the wrecked cloud… read his post again. He’s tried to contact them, only to be avoided. Hmmm… seems I read that over in the Outage posts as well.

Murena or eOS is not a carrier. AT&T is carrier, they may have ported it, but not to Murena.

Murena Mobile are an MVNO in the US, using the T-Mobile network, so that might be what the OP is referring to.

OK I stand corrected. But should T-Mobile/AT&T fix the port issue, shouldn’t he/she call T-Mobile?

T-Mobile are most likely just providing the network access at a wholesale price to Murena Mobile, with Murena Mobile then reponsible for everything else.

While I don’t necessarily disagree, we should still try to see whether someone at Murena can be reached.

@Manoj : Can you help? Is Murena Mobile in any way impacted by the current Murena.io outage? If yes, can Murena make sure that cases like this one are avoided, e.g. by closing the booking of Murena Mobile for now?

Thanks, everyone!
It is correct that Murena Mobile resells T-mobile. My former carrier released my number over a week ago.
I finally heard back from Murena support yesterday. They don’t know what the problem is, it still looks unconnected to them. A second email said they are escalating this and will reimburse my missed days.
This morning I tried using another line to call my number. Instead of it saying the number can’t be reached like it has for the past several days, it went to voicemail. So I’m hoping that means Murena now has my number. I suppose I have to wait until Monday to see if they will send me an e-sim and try connecting to my phone.
I definitely would not recommend this service to anyone else. Thanks for this community for giving me a place to voice my concerns.

I have similar issues and complaints and frustration. I will start my own thread.

I believe Gigs is the contractor giving Murena a bad rep. It is still Murena’s responsibility,

I think Manoj is really on top of the forum and is how I got help, so good for you for starting a thread.

I read the terms/conditions and it said I could opt out of caller id but when I followed the instructions, I got a message from Gigs saying they aren’t responsible for that. Does anyone know to opt out of caller id?
This is all hoping I actually get my service started soon or I will go back to my former carrier.

I took advice and complained to FCC.

I replied to Murena Mobile help thread asking for help so I can keep my phone number and port it to another carrier.

I’m missing so much not having my number for over 10 days.

I once did a port where I made the mistake of stopping the service of the original provider before the port was completed and it caused issues.

The correct way to do a port is contact the new provider and have them request the move from the old provider and it will go smooth. At lease that is the way I recall. This way you have the old provider until the new one is active.

I need my phone number to work and all these delays are having many negative impacts.

Please tell me how I can keep my phone number and port it to another provider.

I also expect a full refund since I have not used Murena’s network.

I have filed a complaint with FCC and hope that we can resolve this by the end of the day Monday Dec 16.

Murena has not given me an account number or anything so I am not sure how I would port it without them giving me information especially since I don’t have service on my phone

Do you think I should send another message? I’m a little afraid to say don’t cancel because I don’t want them to read it quickly and cancel.

@Manoj please help! No one from Murena Mobile contacted me today.
Please see help desk [Ticket#9938438]
I need to get my service connected with Murena - I’ve been almost 2 weeks with no cell service and it’s causing me all sorts of problems.
I also need them to give me my account number and a transfer pin as soon as possible.
Please help!

I have passed on a message to the helpdesk team. You should get a response during EU working hours today.

I have the same issue, i bought a phone from murena and paid for a mobile plan. murena failed to port my number, refuses to reply to my emails, and i can’t create an account, because that part is “broken”. The only part of murena’s system that works is the site that sells phones and takes your money. after that they don’t care. it’s been over a week now and no help or support. murena is either a scam or a joke, not sure yet. but i’m filing a report, then calling my bank to have them reverse the charges for the plan and phone. murena sucks ass. im going to share my experience in reviews everywhere they sell their crapware and disservices. murena is racket, they should rot in hell for eternity.

Thank you!
I’m editing this post because I missed a reply from customer service which did tell me my service should work
Agreed to credit my account
Provided my account number and pin

I didn’t see this at first and accessed my account from the Goodbye your service is ending email…

And FYI got a separate email telling me my service will end Jan 1 and it had information about my eSim. Funny, but that eSim worked and now I have service, but customer service never specifically sent one to me before.
