I’m thinking of buying a Murena Pixel 8 phone from Murena store, and been looking the phone for some days. Until yesterday the 256 gb Pixel 8’s price was 639 € and today 714 €. I don’t understand why such a big difference in price overnight. I don’t know if this is the right place to post this or is better to write the team directly but I find this quite difficult to digest. Hope they can give an answer…
Checked with the sales team, the response was …
The prices of the devices on our website vary according to the prices at which we can buy them from suppliers. If those prices go up, the prices go up in our shop too. In this case the price of purchase for us has increased recently for the Pixel 8.
Refurbished device sales depends on the quality of the device and number of devices available. Another factor is relatively new devices are not that easily available for resale. But all the same we do check all options.
You can also buy a refurbished one and install the official one by yourself and maybe donate the difference to Murena like you would have bought it there.
Since you didn’t buy from Murena you can’t access the helpdesk but that depends if you really need it.
Thanks, @mihi . that would be the ideal solution, but I dont trust installing myself he OS, my knowledge and time is quite limited.
I’m happy to pay extra for a preinstalled phone as a sort of donation for the team, but it would be nice to know exactly how much extra we pay them for that work (knowing the price at which the phones were bought, so you can clearly see how much extra you pay for the work).
With the CMF phone one is easier to calculate that, as it is known that the phone costs around 200€ (at least when it launched). But with the pixel is more difficult to calculate thah.
Nevertheless, i would understand if the team didnt want to share that info, but it would be nice.
