Murena Search Not Working in e/OS Browser

Hi all,

For some reason, Murena Search seems to not load properly in the default browser.

When I attempt to do a search it says:

Qwant is temporarily unavailable

Please check your connection or refresh page.

(FDN fetch_error)

Just to test I performed this same search in Firefox on my Fairphone and it works fine there. Is there a setting that needs to be changed do you all think?

I typically use Ecosia for my search engine and that works just fine in the built in browser.

I guess it’s just this. If qwant isn’t generally down, it can be an internal limit. Other users seen FDN fetch_error before. If it comes up more often it’s for qwant+murena to get it sorted

I might have fixed it?

I switched the search engine to Spot and then back to Murena Search and it appears to be working now!

Hello, I currently face the same issue. Any solutions founded ?

murena seems aware and tracks it at

I also am happy they add Qwant ans I have the same error on my new FP6 (and also difficulties to login to SNCF in Browser/Cromite).

But it works on my others phones strangely.

I hope they will fix it soon.

Wanted to check if users are still getting the ā€˜FDN fetch_error’ error while using Qwant. There was a fix from the Qwant side around the mid of October.

the only issue I’ve seen in the forum since the api switch is a captcha when using ā€œmurena findā€ through hide-my-ip / TOR.
