Murena Sync with WhatsApp Media Folder

Hi,

I have a sync issue and found no solution. Most posts seems to be from 2023 and before.

On Murena Cloud, I’ve the folder:

  • All files/Pictures/WhatsApp → Only stores pictures done with camera app ending up in WhatsApp
  • All files/Devices/Fairphone_Fairphone 6_/rom_setting (Somehow only app installations one time backup)

On my Phone, the files are in:

  • Fairphone 6/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Images.

How can I sync specific folders like the one above with the murena cloud? Same with Signal and Telegram folders. I haven´t found no options for control or settings.

I have Murena Cloud on Fairphone 6 with e/OS/ 3.4

I know WhatsApp is not safe but what shall I do, when the family etc is there :wink:

eDrive sync is static in its configuration which folders it tracks. You’d need to use 3rd party software to setup arbitrary folders, here are some examples mentioned: Synchronization from murenacloud to phone - #8 by tcecyk

Can’t speak to how telegram saves its media, but I’d think the same applies as to Whatsapp.

Signal will not save its media yet unencrypted outside the App. It’s probably coming (“local plaintext backup”) but not yet.
