Murena workspace - Gallery

Hello all,

I recently migrated from iOS to /e/OS. I’m 99.9% satisfied with my new system.

The remaining 0.1% ? I love switching between my PC and my phone to manage my photos and files, I was already doing this with iCloud.

Something I’m frustrated about the Murena gallery (timeline feed) : deleted photos appear in the middle of the photos I want to keep, which makes browsing a bit confusing. Not to mention that the synchronization between my Fairphone and the Murena space isn’t always in real time.

How can I hide deleted photos from the feed so I can see all my photos on the same page without the deleted ones ?

I avoid auto sync photos as I will always bin 4 photos for every 5 I take.

On the phone, to bin in Gallery app changes

filename.jpg → .filename.jpg (hidden).

Phone still, in Gallery app it is the Library view which contains Bin view and “Delete / empty bin”.

In murena.io I think you may have to get Files app to see hidden files then delete them, then empty Trash in the Cloud.

Hello, would Nextcloud be an option for you?

Recently I moved away from iCloud as much as I could. On my S20FE I installed eOS and was able to seemlessly sync my existing local NextCloud server (connected to my Pi 5) between Murena Workspace, that S20 and even my old iPhone 11.

All stations have the NC app syncing every photo made on that device to dedicated folders on my server.
