Need help to allow background processing for Tresorit

I’m using the cloud app Tresorit on a Fairphone 6 with /e/OS version: 3.2-a15-20251022539003-official-FP6. On my previous Android phone it reliably uploaded new photos in the background, but on this phone it stopped working. Uploads only start when I launch the app (and unlock it).

After launching it, there is a notification asking me to allow background processing:

I procede to the settings and find that the setting is already on:

Contrary to this setting, Tresorit is not on the list of apps with no restrictions regarding energy optimization. I tried to turn the setting off and on again, no change. I also rebooted the phone several times.

Is there anything else I could try? Should I report it as bug, because the settings are inconsistent?

Thanks to a hint on the bug tracker I was able to demystify this issue: The text on the left of the green toggle is a hidden menu!

It’s not hidden. As per Android GUI the available menu is indicated by the seperator line between the menu button with the text on it and the toggle button. You will find this in more settings than this one.
If it would just be a description text for the toggle without a button function, there would not be a separator line.

Of course it is debatable whether this is good GUI design, as it is plainly not very obvious, but it is what it is :person_shrugging: .
