Since it’s a entry model and have accessible price, the 14C it’s a common choice of device. The necessity of the e/os, even with the issue of being a mediatek chip, must be forgotten. People, me including, need his rights for privacy that e/os offer. Also, I’m currently fear trying a different model custom ROM, as 14 or 13C and get my phone bricked. I gently ask the development of this version.

Adding “lake” to the roster (if even possible) could have wider consequences, as Murena organise web URLs for devices around the codename, and they support the Motorola Moto G7 Plus “lake” already … https://doc.e.foundation/devices/lake
I guess there’s a reason postmarketOS include the vendor name in their use of codenames … https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Motorola_Moto_G7_Plus_(motorola-lake) … https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Xiaomi_Redmi_14C_(xiaomi-lake)

Install /e/OS on a Google Pixel 4 - “flame”
i was believed device codename must be unique, but it is not the case.
