I´m currently setting up my Fairphone 6 with e/OS/ and running into an issue.
I want to connect my phone to my nextcloud. I know its possible with the murena.io login option in the phones account settings and using the custom server option to adress my server. So far so good. But when I try to connect there is an error massage saying “No CalDAV- or CardDAV-Service found. Username (Mailadress)/Password wrong?”
When I press ok, I go back to the murena.io login screen.
I know I could just use the Nextcloud APP, but I want to go for the integrated setup to try it out and see if its grandparents compatible (which equals to the lesser apps the better )
Thanks for this. I’ll try it out when I’m back home.
Out of curiosity, Nextcloud should have this already integrated. When I was on GrapheneOS I was able to use it with the DavX5 Client without issues. So why do I need the app now on my Nextcloud?
Put your server address is, including the https://
Your account Username and create an app password in your Nextcloud
Done
What works:
So far I can tell that Calendar and Contact synch works. I don’t have the mail setup yet. Photos and files are saved on the Nextcloud but there is no sync or viewing on stuff already on the nextcloud. At least as far as I can tell.
I guess that’s a start and maybe we can figure out the rest as well.
I also need to correct myself. The files a syced upstream as well as downstream. But the files are downloaded onto the phone. I haven’t figured out how to only preview.
Thanks, i now understand i’ll have to log out
For now i keep using Murena Cloud for Contacts and App settings and have added a seperate (local server) Nextcloud account for Files and Notes, Keepass for Passwords and Immich for photos.
