No connectivity icon (but network still works) since 2024-08-20

Hello!
Since this morning (2024-08-20 UTC+2), my FP5 that has been running /e/OS 2.2 for several weeks now displays “No connectivity” even though the data connection runs fine.

However, it seems that some apps (e.g. Duolingo) think that I’m offline because of this. :-/

Rebooting and deactivating AFwall+ change nothing.

My guess is that the connectivity check server is somehow unavailable. Is there a way to check this?

Thanks for raising this. The info has been passed to the infra team to check and resolve.

I can confirm this also on /e/OS 2.1 on FP5.
Indicates a connection problem both on mobile data and wifi.

Probably a server used for the online-checks isn’t reachable or something like that.

The problem seems fixed:

  • the “no connectivity” icon has disappeared
  • Duolingo now recognizes that I’m online

Thank you for your quick resolution!
