Hi every one,
Magic earth can’t show my position.
I tried with Waze and GGmaps, it’s the same.
I seems it could be a probleme with that phone ?
I downlowed and ran the app GPS Test, no satellite is found…
I ran the app on an other phone, I showed lots of satellites…
Does anyone have an idea ?
Regain your privacy! Adopt /e/OS the deGoogled mobile OS and online services
You might want to check “Advanced Privacy” settings. By default, it provides a fake (false) position to all apps. You can exempt specific (or all) apps.

Unfortunatly it was already done…
Hello,
this sounds like a hardware problem.
I use the phyphox app to check the various sensors and GPS on my phone. It’s an app that gives direct access to the sensors and also lets you do experiments.

I get no fix sometimes, more frequent than expected…
What I have end up doing is:
Settings > Apps > Show system apps
Theb Force stop and Clear data/cache for Advanced Privacy and Microg
Reboot phone
Set real location in Advanced Privacy.
GPS test fix is successful.
Haven’t figured out what’s causing these random no fix failures. Same occurrs with real/fake IP.

I just tried that but still no fix in GPS Test…
In Phyphox it still says that GPS is ON but no data in latitude, longitude or altitude…
I’m beginning to fear the hardware problem…

I forgot to mention.
At one point I stopped getting gps fix locations working for me.
I was on stock /e/os 2.0 (no updates applied)
I upated to 2.4.1 and it fixed it for a couple of weeks.
Now I run into the random issues described previously…

I’m gonna send back the phone, I hope they won’t say anything because of my installation of /e/…

I would go back to Android to prevent any warranty issues.
