I used /e/os on a Google Pixel 6 for 1 week. Everything is working properly (or look like). Except the position reporting from Home Assistant Companion which was working perfectly on my previous phone, a Nokia 7.2 with a stock Android 11.
Here you can see a screenshot from my HomeAssistant where you can see that my current /e/os phone is seen but the positions are not reported.
I checked everything I found on the Internet about that problem.
I did not see a sensor in my Home Assistant app. I was wondering if it could be a problem made by /e/os which maybe could restrict the access to the position ?
Things I tried :
I cannot found a “geocode” sensor in the Home Assistant app. Could it be the problem ?
Thanks if anyone got ideas about that problem !
My GPS apps worked well (I used that morning Waze with Android Auto for example).
You’re welcome. It’s quite common that apps differ slightly between stores so always worth checking. I always start with F-Droid and go to App Lounge if there are problems.
