Unable to use Note app with local private storage. Should be local with optional sync account, not compulsory.

finally got fixed in upcoming /e/ v2.0, you’re able to choose to have them only locally.
Edit: though a user would need to edit the upper right profile settings to switch to the local account, you’re not promted again if you’re already on a remote notes acount. All that said, there really are better, more robust (local) note taking apps. But it was the last default App requiring some form of account to be useful.
