No more 48MP photos on the Fairphone 4

Hello,

I noticed that I haven’t been able to take 48MP photos on my Fairphone 4 since November.
As soon as I take a 48MP photo and view it in the gallery, it is reduced from 8000x6000 pixels to 1920x1440 pixels.
Is there a setting somewhere that allows me to change this behavior?
The 12MP photos with 4000x3000 pixels are not resized.
The current version is /e/OS 3.0.4-a14-20250708507308-official-FP4.

Hello,

I use both camera apps, and the photos are reduced in size by both camera apps.

I cannot reproduce this in the Fairphone camera app, pictures taken at 48MP have a resolution of 8000x6000 pixels.
Maybe you can try to reset this app, clear the storage/cache.

In case of the stock /e/OS camera app, this will be fixed in the next update (v3.1.1)

Release is expected next week…

So I never paid any attention to this until your post. Mine, FP4 running the community A15 is the same. However, if you turn on Raw support under Photo, you can get a 12MP image with the stock camera app.

Like yourself, looking forward to the updated fix.

Fortunately, at least the 12MP images still work. I had only taken a few special photos in 48MP resolution, and unfortunately these images are now gone, or rather, they are not even 3MP in size.
I am now waiting for the update announced for next week.
