No notification with Thunderbird

I am having the same difficulty as in this post:

No Notifications with Thunderbird

The Thunderbird app is not creating any notifications. The settings within TB appear to indicate that notifications should be generated, but nothing on receiving new emails. In my case, however, reinstalling the app didn’t help. I have done everything I could to configure it (all authorizations, activate push notification for each specific folder, no battery optimisation, etc, nothing special with microG).

I run out of ideas. The phone is FP3 with 3.2-a15.

I had the same issue on my FP4. What fixed it for me was activating the Push notifications for my inbox. Since my language is set to German, the names may be different, but i try to translate it: Open sidebar → Manage directories (is on the bottom of the sidebar) →Inbox → activate push.

Idk if you already checked that but it may help others.

Unfortunately, this has no effect for me (up-to-date app, 3.5-a15 currently), even when every single option is activated in this menu. I don’t see any system-level restriction neither.
