No way to update microG services on App Lounge?

I couldn’t find an update for microG services in App Lounge when Aurora Store show me an update for Google Play Services!? When I hit that I have options to uninstall or to update it even though I’ve never installed it.
So are these both same thing?

Hi LaVache
They are most probably not the same and eos does deliberately not use the google play services.
microg is a system part that replaces it and will be updated with eos updates afaik.
Is there a particular reason you try to update manually ?

Hi, unfortunately App Lounge don’t update anything anymore, it show me no updates to do when Aurora Store do it. Now there’s still an update for Google Play services in Aurora Store and I want to know if I may get rid of that.
Installed microG services is v.0;3.6.244735-17 after upgrade to /e/OS 3.0.2 I made today. Issue when I try to uninstall Google Play services into Aurora Store a pop-up shows saying “microG services - do you want to uninstall this application?”
I see no Google play services into installed applications list but microG services when Auroa store ask me to update Google Play services.

MicroG imitates Google play services and has the same name so Aurora store is just mistaken / wrong. You should ensure it cannot interfere and avoid any deviation from the micro-G which comes with /e/OS.

App Lounge can fail from time to time. Please check the hashtag app-lounge for some clues and there is App Lounge F.A.Q

This image shows the Aurora Blacklist manager showing “Search” micro-G and all 3 instances selected that is do not update.

Don’t update bundled apps with any store app. It could mess up your phone requiring you to re-flash. Configure store apps to only update apps installed by that store. Bundled apps get updated when you do the normal /e/os updates. This is contrary to how Google works where every app on the system gets updated by the Play Store.

OK but, App Lounge never updated any app anymore, so I needed to install something else (Fdroid & Aurora Store) in order to get updates.
Now, since upgrade to /e/OS 3.0.2 I got some updates from App Lounge again. It seems I can remove Aurora Store.
