Because the official ‘avicii’ build for the OnePlus Nord is end of support, I installed the community avicii version of /e/os 2.8 T (e-2.8-t-20250225471522-community-avicii.zip).
But I can’t get my WiFi working. I’m not sure where the problem is or if I can fix it or if it’s a problem with the avicii community image. However, if I search for Wifi networks there are none available. It also shows the Wifi MAC address as ‘not available’.
I didn’t have these problems with the official now unsupported build. Is there anybody else with this problem or knows a solution?
Yes, I ordered a Pixel 8a and flashed GrapheneOS on it.
I wanted to use the OnePlus for some more years to come, but here we are. It’s a pefectliy fine OnePlus Nord with /e/os community edition but with no wifi.
With the 8a I have a little over 5 years of support yet. I wish they make longer lasting devices.
PS: I’m not sure if it was my stupidity or if the community edition doesn’t support it. Maybe you have more luck.
I just want to inform that I have done a quick test of the Avicii with /e/OS 2.8 T community. I tried a dirty flash first, but this didn’t work. I recommend a backup and the instructions of wiping the device before flashing.
I have tested SMS, calling, camera, WiFi and 5G and everything works well.
I already thought that it was my fault and not a problem with /e/os community editition. I think my Wifi module in my OnePlus Nord is simply broken. Because of that I bought a new phone as said in a post above.
So there’s no problem with /e/os community edition.
No problem. I was in doubt myself, since the avicii is on the community rom and not the official anymore. I just wanted to share, in case others are wondering to switch from official to community.
