Thanks a lot for the guide and every details. It was more than usefull
Here are my return of experience: (Windows 10)
You are posting this in the wrong place (and me therefore also)
But also since this post exists there is should build and installation guide available.
You can post your CMF Phone 1 related queries and feedback in the category specific for the device.
I suggest adding to the doc that Bootloader relocking is not supported and /e/OS won’t boot if the bootloader is relocked.
suggested addons in italic
fastboot flashing unlock
fastboot flashing unlock_critical
old: “The script will flash all required files and will wait for input at the last step.”
new The script will exit and the phone will reboot into murena os
Hi, I’m new to this and wanted to ask if re-locking was something you tried - in order to find out that it didn’t work?
Were you able to restore the phone after re-locking, or was it bricked? I’ve seen other stories on the internet about this, but curious about the CMF P1 specifically.
Thanks
Hi,
I re-locked it and then it wouldn’t boot /e/OS. It wasn’t bricked since I was able to unlock it again from fastboot.
Thanks for letting me know, appreciate it
Success with the install, thank goodness.
I had to install windows ADB and Fastboot drivers to resolve a persistent “waiting for any device” status when launching the initial fastboot command. A note about this specific error (and a link to the driver installer) would have helped me.
Thanks to everyone who’s made it possible to use e/OS with the CMF p1. It will serve me well.
Hi Waylon !
I face the same problem.
I tried with the standard “Web Easy Installer” and it block during The reboot into bootloader.
I think i have the same problems and i don’t succeed troubleshooting it as you.
Could you please describe what you have done and the links you used ?
Developper Mode → OK
OEM Unlock → OK
USB Debugging → OK
USB File Transfer mode → OK
Android tool kit on windows → Installed
ADB and Fastboot drivers → Seems Installed
adb devices command → Working
Smartphone when android up is recognized in my device manager on windows
Smartphone in fastboot mode not well recognized even after installing the driver manually in device manager.
fastboot devices command return 0 result
fastboot flashing unlock command is block in “Waiting for device”
you need to launch windows update from the main menu plus select optionnal update
Jarod,
I apologize that I must be vague here, because I don’t remember exactly how I solved this. Looking through my browser history, my searching for the problem ended when I used this installer to put the drivers on my computer. Give it a try, and report back.
Waylon
Worked !
Thank you, i’m using murena at the moment.
