OnePlus Pad 2 Pro - eRecovery zip file is missing

Hi all

I have purchased a OnePlus Pad 3 Pro and would like to flash it with MurenaOS.

Unfortunately I can’t find the required eRecovery.zip - /e/OS community erhai download

According to the wiki the other option would be a download from lineageos:

Tip: In case the partition files are not available in the /e/OS recovery zip, users can try and download them from the LineageOS wiki install page specific to this device and OS build.

However, LineageOS version is Android 16 and the version of eOS is based on Android 15. Is it safe to download the required zip file from lineageos, or am I bricking afterwards the new device?

Thank you very much for your help and have a pleasant day!

Best regards

Engima

Hi @Enigma welcome to the /e/ users forum.

When these secondary files are not packaged as described in the documentation it is possible to extract them from the ROM like this [Walkthrough] Extract eRecovery and boot images using payload-dumper-go.

Hello @Enigma,

I cannot find the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro as a supported device,

What is your device codename ?
[HOWTO] Find device codename

/e/OS community erhai download
it is an .img file, not a .zip

Hi @aibd , @piero and stueB

Thank you for your replies and sorry for my late answer, unfortunately I just arrived just now from work.

aibd: I will try it with payload-dumper-go - Thank you for this awesome tool!

piero : Sorry - This was my mistake. The codename is “erhai” and it was sold as “Oneplus 2 Pro” - I am going to edit the topic. (source: Info about erhai | LineageOS Wiki )

stueB : I did not find your topic but thanks for this! Thats the solution and I will try it again, as soon as MurenaOS is pushed to Android16 (otherwise I might brick the new device; unfortunately my tablet already arrive with Android 16)

Again - many thanks for your replies & your support! I am extremely happy that I found /e/ as alternative OS!

Have a pleasant weekend and best regards

Enigma

I don’t know OnePlus series, but on some other brand devices it is possible to downgrade Stock android version.
