So I recently got the FP6 and I do like it so far, but something that has really started to bug me is the fingerprint reader. It’s nice in some ways but I accidentally keep unlocking my phone in the process of putting it into my pocket or activating it while trying to use the power button. Would there be any way to add in some settings to change the reader’s behaviour to be a little less finicky? Could have it ignore any scan of the fingerprint reader while the power button is actively being pressed. Or, it might be easier to just make an option where you can only fingerprint unlock the phone on the actual pin screen that you get from swiping down on the lock screen.

I just wanted to add that I’m experiencing the exact same behavior on my phone.
I have the feeling that this issue appeared about a month ago. I don’t think this was happening when I first started using the phone.
It would be great if the option you described could be implemented. It would be a perfect fix for this frustrating problem.
Please check under the lock screen settings if there is not a setting which makes it behave like that, ‘lock immediatley’ or something like that
