Paid Google Apps on /e/os

So I have a few apps I paid for on Google Play. Can I get the paid version of those apps running on /e/os?

Do I just log into Google Play through MicroG and download/install them? If subsequently through MicroG I log out then log in using anonymous will those apps no longer function as paid apps? Confusing.

Google Pay isnt compatible with microg.
You can get google pay work on custom roms without microg if u root it and use magisk-modules.
But on e/os you wont get it work

If you still have you google account were you bought the apps, then you can use Aurora App Store with these credentials and download your paid apps

My Google account isn’t going anywhere. I still have a phone I’ll be using for some time with OEM Android on it. I have a another phone that’s running /e/os. At some point I hope to migrate over to /e/os and remove Google from my life altogether. I’m still working out how to do that.

If I install a paid app with Aurora, will it still function like a paid app if I were to uninstall Aurora later? In other words do I need to be logged in to my Google account after the fact (something I want to avoid).

It’s actually not that big of a deal, I could live without the apps I bought or run them in unpaid mode, but if there’s a work-around I’d like to take advantage of it.

What I did was to download my paid apps while logging in with Aurora using my google credentials. After that I logged out and used anonymized Aurora login. The paid apps were downloaded and could be used, so I assume you can even de-install Aurora. However, if you want to do an update of a paid app you need to login with your google account again…

Okay, thanks. That sounds pretty good. I downloaded the apk for Aurora and I’ll check it out.

That Aurora is really nice. Between that and F-droid I don’t think I need the App Lounge.

I actually paid for an app using Aurora and the payment went through without a hitch. I was willing to risk 5 bucks to see if it works. I subsequently removed my Google login from MicroG and put Aurora in anonymous mode. The two paid apps I’m running remain in paid status. So Aurora does everything Google Play does which is a tall bonus.

The App Lounge has some stability problems for me with hangs and returning empty windows. Also Exodus is no longer allowing queries by App Lounge for privacy ratings. There’s not really any reason to use it.
