Password lost after e/os 1.16 install

Hi,
After installing e/os 1.16, my Samsung S7 edge does not accept my password anymore!??
Anyone a suggestion on how to recover this?

Hi,

I suppose you mean the password to unlock the phone? If you installed e/os, these kind of os-specific settings of your Samsung are overwritten. You can set a new password after installing e/os and choose the same one you had.

The passwords of your simcard or murena account should be unchanged.

Indeed it is the password to unlock the phone.
I did set a password, but after the update of e/os 1.16, this password is no longer accepted?
Is there a general password, which is set after installing update 1.16?
I presume there is not, but then I am puzzled why the password I entered is not accepted any longer!??
