i am using /e/OS 1.18 and I am trying to install a rather dump physical keyboard (ISY IBK-1000) which worked fine under Android. Under /e/OS it is recognized and works but is set to an american (probably default) layout. Is there a method to switch the layout?

Bring up your on screen keyboard and press the globe-key, to the left from the space bar.
If it show’s up there, you can switch easily. Else you need to go into settings.

my problem is a physical keyboard - using bluetooth. It is recognized as default or american layout and I cannot switch.
I know how to change the screen keyboard.

Physical keyboard should show up in Languages & Input. Select it and you should be able to select layouts.
