Pink selfie in sunny environment

Hi,

When I take a photo with the front camera (selfie) inside, the colors and file size are normal. When I take a photo with the front camera (selfie) outdoors, in bright light (mountains, snow in the background), the image is distorted, doubled, pink against a black area, and much more voluminous.

Example photos taken with /e/OS Camera app and Gcam app : Nextcloud

I have no problem in the same conditions taking photos using lens1 and lens2 on the rear sensor.

I contacted Fairphone, and carried out tests at their request with another camera application (Gcam). The problem is only present with the native /e/OS application.

Here are the versions I’m currently using :
/e/OS 2.7-t-20250111460957-official-FP5
Camera v1.53.1

Am I the only one with this problem, and how can I report it to the team?

My problem is still present in version 2.9-t-20250321478215-official-FP5 and Camera v1.53.1.
I’d like to know if other people are experiencing the same thing…

My problem isn’t solved. I still can’t take selfies in a sunny environment with the native photo app

It sounds like a problem with the white balance. Have you tried different settings if auto is not working or adjusting the WB manually?
